Le cynorhodon

C'est le petit fruit ovale, d’un beau rouge corail, en lequel se métamorphose, chez le rosier et l’églantier, le réceptacle floral après la fructification. syn. gratte-cul.

Les baies se cueillent à l’automne, après les premières gelées, dès que le froid les a ramollies. Elles sont riches en vitamine C. Le filtrage permet d’éliminer les poils irritants qu’elles renferment.
